For this project I am going to focus on 3 different ideas and create a questionare to gain feedback to see which people would prefer to see. My ideas are music, how to book a cinema ticket for a wheelchair user and streaming services.
I have been looking at music and some of the different types of instruments such as octapad, guitars, DJ sets and drum kits. I have been looking at the different versions available, the price ranges, age ranges and where you can get them from.

I have created a google questionnaire on Google Forms to share with a variety of people in order to gain their feedback on my three ideas. I chose the Octopad as it was the most popular from the responses seen below.

Most people voted to see how to record on an Octapad. This was the clear favourite at 57.1%.
The responses for why included because they haven’t heard of it before, they find it interesting to learn about and one response included that they would like to buy one.

Also, suggestions on video content included breaking down steps on how to use it, video with sample session, cost and where to buy

The graph shows that people between the ages of 18-24 mostly play instruments (20%) and that the age group of 75 years and above play less instruments.

What did you do? What was the task? I have done an analysis of the audience I want to target for my Octapad advertisement. I then used the Acorn website to find an appropriate audience for my advertisement.

I was able to find the audience I needed for my advertisement

What didn't go so well?
It was difficult finding the exact audience that has enough money to buy an Octapad but not too much money where they could afford something more.

How could I improve in the future?
The more you use the website, the easier it is to find the information you need. If I needed to find the audience for another product, I know the websites to go to now.

How will the research help you with your idea? Why did you chose the final idea over others?
The research from the Google Sheet and websites allowed me to chose the Octapad as it was more popular than the streaming services and the wheelchair access to cinemas.

What did you do?
On Wednesday 30th November I filmed myself playing the octopad. This was for my video - teaching people how to use an octopad.
What skills did you use/develop?
This was the first time I'd recorded such a film. I used my phone for this. I was confident going into this even though I'd not done anything like this before.
What went well?
I got all the shots I wanted - because I completed a story board beforehand. This planning was very helpful. I knew how I wanted the shot to look before I filmed.
What didn't go so well?
Pretty much everything went to plan.
How could you improve in the future? Would you do anything differently?
At this present moment I would probably do the same again.
When carrying out research - how will the research help your idea?
I already had knowledge of the octopad as I have been playing one for two/three years.
When generating ideas - why did you choose your final idea over others?
This was the most popular one from the survey that I'd done.
When planning - How will your planning help you in your production? What might you change?
The script I wrote before filming was also very helpful. I knew what I wanted to say - this was written in my script.

Problem Solving Issues
My first idea was music I choose music because I like music in general, especially I like all different types of instruments.
I chose to do a project about an Octapad because I have a personal experience with one.
The only problem I have with the Octopad is the price range. I feel that it would be to expensive for a young a person. This is the only issue I found with the Octapad, other than that it was straight forward to use.
The biggest problem that I have faced during this project has been not having access to premier pro. To overcome this I have been using a tutor account to create and finish my project.
Another problem was learning premier pro from scratch without having any previous understanding of it. To overcome it, I had a look around the programme at the features and used trial and error.
Practical problem solving
Also, another way I solved the problem of not knowing all the features was to ask another student how to do some things on the programme, for example, speeding up videos altering voice sound/volume.
Another feature that I learnt was how to add effects. I asked for help from my tutor to show me how to do it.
